Feast of Saint Anba Bishoy

The monastery celebrates the feast of its patron and founder—the great Saint Anba Bishoy, the righteous and perfect man and beloved of our Good Savior—on July 15th of each year. Vespers and the Midnight Praise begin on July 14th. To preserve the sanctity of the monastery, it has been decided to close the monastery completely on the 14th, with prayers restricted to the monks only; the monastery will reopen for visitors on the morning of the 15th.
